Soil Nail Retaining Walls
Soil nailing is a construction technique that allows for safe and economical excavation support. Harrison Western designs and constructs permanent and temporary shoring solutions. We use the design recommendations outlined in FHWA.
Shotcrete is a pneumatically applied concrete or mortar, projected onto a surface at a high velocity. It is reinforced by rebar, mesh or fibers. This process allows for shotcrete to be applied to vertical or overhead surfaces.
Micropiles are slender reinforcing bars that rely on bond strength for their loading capacity. Due to the smaller diameters, low footprint drill rigs can be used allowing access to low clearance and limited access locations.
Specialty grouting applications can include:
- Pipe annular space filling
- Cellular concrete/grout
- Pipeline rehabilitation
- Soil reinforcing
